The Venture sleeping bag offers versatile comfort and warmth, rated to -10°C for reliable three-season performance. Available in Standard (700 g fill, 1.2 kg) and XT (750 g fill, 1.3 kg) sizes, it’s insulated with 650+ loft hydrophobic duck down, keeping you warm and dry even in damp conditions.

Designed in a body-contoured mummy shape with a 75 cm (Standard) / 82 cm (XT) shoulder width, the Venture provides a close fit to maximise warmth, while still allowing freedom of movement. The box foot design enhances warmth and comfort, while vertical baffles across the torso and horizontal baffles around the legs keep insulation evenly distributed to prevent cold spots. An insulated draught collar with drawcord ensures warm air stays in and cold air stays out, and the form-fitting 3D hood maximises heat retention around the head.

Constructed with durable 20D/400Thd Ciré Ripstop fabric offers a downproof and water-resistant finish. A YKK ¾-length zip with double sliders provides easy entry and adjustable ventilation. For packing convenience, the Venture comes with a generous stuff sac and a large mesh storage sac to maintain down loft and prolong its lifespan.

Backed by a 5-year warranty, the Venture is designed to handle diverse conditions across spring, summer, and autumn.

  • Tailored body-contoured mummy shape maximises warmth retention while allowing natural movement for comfortable sleep

  • ¾ length YKK zip with double sliders minimises heat loss while offering ventilation control when conditions warm up

Great bag.

Good bag, well designed and nice and warm. Would be good if the toggle for the baffle was in a different spot as I sleep on the side. But I might remove it. Also its cheeky charging shipping when you spend $800

Too Hot?

Field Test – Domex Venture Sleeping Bag & Thermal Liner

In early May 2025, I had the chance to test out the new Domex Venture sleeping bag, paired with the Domex Thermal bag liner, on an overnight hunting trip into the Ruahines. Based on the insulation specs, it seemed like the ideal setup for this time of year.

After a solid day in the hills, it was time to hit the sack. I stripped down to just my undies and a t-shirt and climbed into the Domex sleep system—half expecting a chilly night. But within an hour... zip—I was overheating! I ended up unzipping the bag completely and sleeping just in the thermal liner.
Then, around 3:00 AM... zippp—back into the bag as the temperature plummeted overnight.
Conclusion? The Domex Venture is seriously warm, and when combined with the thermal liner, it’s really bloody warm!! Perfect for the colder -season missions where the temperature can swing wildly overnight
