The new 2026 Domex Ascent 2 is an upgraded version of the popular 2025 model.

This 2+ person, three-season tent, designed and built to handle rugged 3-season weather conditions is now even tougher and more comfortable than previously.

What has changed?

The 2026 model has a ripstop polyester fly with Stealth Seam Welding Technology taped seams, double-roped corners, and extra Velcro lashes to secure the fly to the frame.

Webbing sleeves at each end of the cross pole allow trekking poles (not supplied) to be used to improve rigidity in extreme conditions. Front and rear storm ropes can be used to provide extra stability if needed, while sleeves on the short ridge pole can also hold trekking poles for additional bracing.

Inside the tent, the nylon panels are larger which improves weather protection and warmth retention. Two pairs of triangular mesh panels at the top of each end panel and the door create more effective cross-flow ventilation while keeping insects out.

  • Stealth Seam Welding Technology tent fly
    Seams are up to 42% stronger than standard twin needle taped seams and are designed to remain watertight for the life of the fly – meaning more reliable protection and less maintenance as the tent ages. 
  • Ascent 2 upgrades for 2026
    Ripstop polyester fly with double-roped corners, and Velcro fly lashes. Front and rear storm ropes, and trekking poles (not supplied) can be used to strengthen frame joins in severe weather conditions. More nylon panel areas give more warmth when needed, while rearrangement of the triangular mesh panels improves airflow and reduces condensation when needed. 
  • Easy to set up hub-dome design
    Interconnected pole sections allow one-person setup with minimal effort.
  • Free-standing structure
    Supports itself once poles are inserted, so you can shift position before pegging. Useful on uneven, wet, or rocky ground.
  • Two vestibules
    Gear storage outside the inner tent, added weather protection, and improved ventilation.
  • Internal organisation
    Four storage pockets (two double, two wall) plus lantern hook.
  • Optional footprint available
    Helps to protect the tent floor from abrasion and sharp ground. It also makes packing up much quicker and cleaner by keeping mud and debris off the base, so that only a quick wiping off of condensation is needed before the tent can be rolled up.
  • Set up / assembly instructions
    These are printed directly on a tag sewn into the hem of the tent bag.

Why is it a good idea to use a footprint?
A matching footprint helps protect the tent floor from abrasion and unseen sharp objects. It also makes pack-up quicker and cleaner by keeping mud and debris off the base, so only a quick wipe of condensation is needed before rolling the tent away.
